MJPAS Recreational Dancer Dress Code

Girls: A black (pink is also allowed for dancers up to age 5) bodysuit is required for all recreational dance classes

Optional Accessories: Dancers can also wear a skirt, shorts or stirrup tights.

Tights: please choose a stirrup or convertible pair of tights. Pink or beige tights is good for ballet also. 

Shoes:

Ballet - a pink leather or canvas ballet slipper

Tap - a pair of black tie-up or buckle-up tap shoes

GIRLS Optional Shoes:

Jazz – beige jazz shoes, pirouette turning shoes or foot undeez

Musical Theatre – beige jazz shoes

Hip Hop – black indoor running shoes

Lyrical – pirouette turning shoe, dance paw or foot undeez

Acro - bare feet please

For acronastics, any gym-suit or leotard (black, pink, colourful) is perfect.

BOYS

 A t-shirt with no logo (white or black preferred) and black pants/shorts is required for all recreational dance classes for all ages.

BOYS SHOES

Ballet – a black leather or canvas ballet slipper

Tap – a pair of black tie-up tap shoes

Jazz or Musical Theatre – please ask at the studio

Hip Hop – black indoor running shoes

Lyrical – foot undeez or dance paws

Acro – bare feet please

Musical Theatre – black jazz shoes

RAD Ballet Exam (February) - navy blue tank leotard (cotton or lyrca), pink convertible tights, pink Hanami ballet shoes

A white or black t-shirt and black pants/shorts is required for all classes and ages.
